Supporting Tier II Within Response to Instruction and Intervention for Behavior (RTI2-B)
This virtual, two-part series will address Tier II behavior within the broader context of RTI2-B. In addition to exploring how strong Tier I support is essential to effective Tier II intervention, educators will learn about matching Tier II interventions to student needs, implementing Tier II interventions, monitoring student progress, and assessing intervention fidelity. Educators will also have the opportunity to connect with others while learning!
Session 1 Learning Objectives:
- Understand how Tier I behavior supports are foundational to an effective RTI2-B system.
- Consider factors for identifying students in need of Tier II support.
- Identify critical aspects of implementing Tier II behavior interventions.
Session 2 Learning Objectives:
- Explore ways to identify students who need additional support and match interventions to identified needs.
- Develop a systematic process for reviewing multiple data sources to evaluate student progress.
- Understand the importance of intervention fidelity and consider ways to monitor the fidelity of intervention delivery.
